St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Celebration Operating Engineers Hall, Chicago 2024 ☘️

St. Patrick’s Day – a day synonymous with vibrant parades, lively music, and the color green. This year, the Emerald Society of Illinois invites you to partake in a grand celebration of Irish heritage on March 16, 2024, from 12pm to 6pm.
The Venue
The festivities will unfold at the Local 399 Operating Engineers Hall, located at 2260 S. Grove St., Chicago, IL. This iconic venue will serve as the epicenter of the day’s activities, providing a warm and welcoming environment for all attendees.
The Parade
For those who wish to march in the parade, a gathering will be held at the 399 Hall at 9:00 am. Officers, band members, and their families are encouraged to don their uniforms and join the procession. Complimentary transportation will be provided for all Emerald Society Parade Marchers, with buses departing from the 399 Hall at 10:00 am.
The Feast
Upon return from the parade, attendees will be treated to a full catered corned beef and cabbage dinner from Calabria Imports. Accompanying the meal will be a selection of frosty beverages, soft drinks, and water. The cost of this feast is included in your donation at the door, priced at $50 for adults (21 and older), $20 for ages 12-20, and free for children 11 and under.
The Entertainment
The post-parade celebration promises a line-up of performances that will leave you spellbound. The Bagpipes and Drums of the Emerald Society, Chicago Police Department – hailed as the finest police bagpipe and drum band in the land – will deliver a stirring performance. Adding to the cultural showcase, The Trinity Irish Dancers will grace the stage with their mesmerizing dance routines.
On the main stage, Billy Wooten will serenade the crowd with a repertoire of beloved Irish tunes. This event is open to all – law enforcement officers of all ranks, their families, friends, and supporters. After all, aren’t we all a little Irish during St. Patrick’s Month?
